UET United Electronic Technology AG releases financial figures for operating business for the fourth quarter 2014

UET United Electronic Technology AG (ISIN: DE000A0LBKW6), Eschborn, releases selected financial figures for the operating business units SYSTEMS, MANUFACTURING and SERVICE for the fourth quarter from October 1st to December 31st 2014. 

The operating units SYSTEMS, MANUFACTURING and SERVICE were able to generate a positive EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) for the fourth quarter 2014. Furthermore the operating unit MANUFACTURING improved the operating performance and results compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. Excluding consolidation effects revenues and operating profits are: 

ELCON Systemtechnik within the business unit SYSTEMS grew quarter-revenues by 1.0% to 7.627 mn EUR, for the entire year revenues improved by 11.2% compared to 2013. Despite higher expenditures for Research and Development Elcon reported a positive EBITDA of +0.687 mn EUR for the fourth quarter (previous year 1.190 mn EUR). For the fiscal year 2014 the EBITDA increased by 0.624 mn EUR to +3.545 mn EUR. ELCON’s EBIT of the fourth quarter amounted in +0.327 mn EUR (previous year 0.883 mn EUR). For 2014 the EBIT improved by 0.432 mn EUR to +2.237 mn EUR compared to 2013. 

For the business unit MANUFACTURING LETRON electronic achieved revenues of 2.110 mn EUR and declined by 9.0% in comparison to the same quarter of the previous year. For the fiscal year 2014 revenues decreased by 11.4%. EBITDA enhanced by 0.026 mn EUR to +0.044 mn EUR, for 2014 the EBITDA improved by 0.346 mn EUR to +0.202mn EUR. In the fourth quarter the EBIT grew as well by 0.029 mn EUR to +0.043 mn EUR, which represented an increase of 0.357 mn EUR to +0.197mn EUR for the preceding business year. 

Between October and December NEWTAL Elektronik & Systeme achieved revenues of 2.513 mn EUR which decreased by 9.0% in comparison to the same period of the previous year. However revenues improved by 13.5% for the entire business year. After a negative EBITDA in the fourth quarter 2013 NEWTAL achieved an increase of 0.069 mn EUR that amounted to +0.034 mn EUR. In 2014 the EBITDA increased by 0.459 mn EUR to +0.378 mn EUR. In the fourth quarter the EBIT has been improved by 0.081 mn EUR to +0.019 mn EUR. In 2014 earnings before interest and taxes enhanced by 0.461 mn EUR to +0.291 mn EUR. 

SUCONI Service in the business unit SERVICE reported revenues of 0.585 mn EUR for the fourth quarter, which decreased by 23.0% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The annual turnover improved by 1.4% compared to 2013. The EBITDA of the fourth quarter declined by 0.096 mn EUR to +0.020 mn EUR. In 2014 the EBITDA decreased by 0.048 mn EUR to +0.025 mn EUR. Earnings before interest and taxes amounted to +0.020 mn EUR and declined by 0.095 mn EUR. SUCONI’s EBIT of the fiscal year 2014 was +0.021 mn EUR and decreased by 0.048 mn EUR. 

The reported financial figures do not include consolidation effects of existing non operating UET Holding companies. Extended full consolidated financials will be reported within the annual report 2014. The release is planned for May 6th 2015 at the latest.
