• Revenues after nine months with EUR 61.5 mn approx. 4.1 percent above the comparable period of the previous year
  • EBITDA after nine months at EUR 1.8mn (2010: EUR 3.3mn)
  • Berndes achieves operative break-even in the third quarter

In the first nine months of 2011, CFC Industriebeteiligungen AG (ISIN: DE000A0LBKW6), Dortmund, has achieved the stabilization of the profit situation for its subsidiaries despite the worsening of the general economic climate. From an earnings perspective, especially the development of Berndes has been considerable. The company reached a positive EBITDA of EUR 0.4mn in the third quarter after extensive restructuring measures in the past quarters.

Group sales for the first nine months amount to EUR 61.5 mn, which corresponds to an increase by 4.1% compared to the same period of the previous year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the group declined to EUR 1.8mn by the end of the third quarter. Net Income for the group was negative at EUR -3.2 mn.

In addition to the promotion of operative optimizations on the group company level, the management board also aims at streamlining the portfolio. In view of this decision, the company considers the sale of group companies. This would also result in positive effects for group liquidity, which amounted to EUR 2.4mn as at September 30th, 2011.

The accounts for the third quarter are available for download at the company website (http://www.cfc.eu.com) under Investor Relations/Financial Reports.
