• Leading German ladies’ apparel company with annual sales of roughly EUR 40 million set to take course for growth again
  • Systematic expansion of the CFC portfolio continues in the Fashion segment with brands delmod, Hirsch, and dinomoda

CFC Industriebeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE000A0LBKW6), Dortmund, has acquired a 100 % interest in Rosner GmbH & Co. KG, with headquarters in Ingolstadt, by contractual deed signed today. The company’s seller is a group company of Japanese fashion group Link Theory Holdings Co. Ltd., Tokyo. CFC acquires the interest for a token purchase price of EUR 1.00. The previous shareholder supports this transaction with a loan of EUR 5.0 million.

Rosner is one of the leading textile companies in Germany and distributes ladies’ apparel (pants, skirts, blazers, coats, suits, knitwear and sportswear) in the medium and premium price segments under the brand name “rosner”. The company covers all major steps of the value added chain: from design and purchasing, quality management and logistics through marketing and distribution. Rosner currently has some 240 employees at its Ingolstadt location and realized revenue of just under EUR 40 million in the past financial year as of June 30, 2008.

CFC seeks to set Rosner’s course for profitable growth within a short period of time by an optimization of the procurement, manufacturing and delivery processes and a continuation of the refocused product and distribution strategies. The synergies within the CFC portfolio in the segment “Fashion” including the brands delmod, Hirsch and dinomoda will make a significant contribution.

For the segment “Fashion” including Rosner, CFC anticipates a sales volume of altogether more than EUR 100 million to be generated with ladies’ apparel next year.
